In wwwow, Brazilian artist Elbi reimagines internet culture through a personal and nostalgic lens. Using 90s hardware, he blends digital nostalgia with humor, creating a journey through the aesthetics of early web culture. The exhibition centers on the Super Nintendo, Mario Paint, and its original ball-tracking mouse, transforming them into tools for rich, textured digital artworks.
Alongside eight Mario Paint drawings, Elbi also presents five ROM-corrupted versions of the game, offering a glitch-infused perspective on the software’s user interface. A special edition ticket rounds out the exhibition, further immersing viewers in his exploration of technology, memory, and artistic expression.
